Deep in the heart of the jungle...

of South Carolina is the locale chosen to film a daring new type of reality tv show pitting people against wild animals in a struggle to reach the top and be crowned King of the Jungle. That location was, of course, T.I.G.E.R.S. We were one of the few places in the US that could possibly fill the needs of such an unpresidented show that required placing people with a bit of animal knowledge right in with some of the most dangerous animals on the planet.

To really give the illusion that this was all filmed in the jungle, our 50 acre facility was transformed with tents, nets and a giant bridge across our pond, fondly refered to as the walk of shame. The show was filmed over a two week period with the entire on-site production taking almost a month and a staff of over 100 people. All of the paths, ponds, pools and habitats you see in the show are actually part of our faciliy.

Doc, Joe and Nigel discuss the contestants.

A mengaerie of trained animals awaited the contestants to test both there knowledge, skills and courage. The trainers and staff worked closely with production to create all of the challenges and animal encounters in the show to insure the most unbelievable interactions between the animals and people seen on television. All of the animals were provided exclusively by T.I.G.E.R.S. for King of the Jungle. Everything from anteaters to elephants and beyond were encountered by the contestants.

The show was really livened up by the hosts Jeff Corwin, Nigel Marvin and the guest judges including Stan Brock, Jim Boller and Joe Wasilewski.
